Fay Laverne (Gregory) Pejsha, age 87, died Dec. 1, 2020 at her home in Jacksonville, Ark. Fay was born Jan. 24, 1933 in Ellsworth, Kan. to the late Wilmer A. and Olga (Schwartzel) Gregory. She was a 1950 graduate of Ellsworth High School, Ellsworth, Kan. Fay married Laudie C.

Anita Stang, age 100 and former Victoria, Kan. resident died Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society-Ellsworth Village, Ellsworth, Kan.   She was born Nov. 17, 1920 in Catharine, Kan. to Jacob A. and Elizabeth (Staab) Schmidt. She married Albert Stang on June 10, 1946 in Catharine, Kan.

Lloyd William Haase, 92, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 in Ellsworth, KS. He was born Dec. 20, 1927 to Albert G. and Ella A. (Pflughoeft) Haase on a farm northwest of Ellsworth. Lloyd was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of north Ellsworth where he was a lifetime member.

Robert “Bob” H. Hudson, 80, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 in Little River, Kan. He was born June 13, 1940 to Leonard M. and Alva (Henderson) Hudson in Ellsworth County at the farmstead of the Faris Caves located between the 60-foot sandstone bluffs and the Smoky Hill River.

Sandra M. Karst, 67, of Dorrance, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020 in Wichita, Kan. She was born May 7, 1953 in Russell, Kan. to Ernest and Bernadine (Bode) Pasek. Sandy graduated from Dorrance High School in 1971. She was united in marriage to Ronald Karst on Aug. 19, 1972 in Dorrance.

Dorothy A. Jones, 95, passed away Nov. 24, 2020 in Ellsworth. She was born July 20, 1925 in Cawker City, Kan. to Orville and Mildred (Williams) Coe. Dorothy married Merlyn L. Jones in Belleville, Kan. on Jan. 9, 1946.

Harold E. “Butch” Hanson, 85, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at his home in Osage City. Harold Eugene Hanson was born Aug. 18, 1935 in Ellsworth, Kan., the son of John Adrian and Esther Amelia (Burgenger) Hanson. He graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1954.

Lucia Margarette Larson, infant daughter of Heath and Kristine Larson was stillborn Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020. The funeral mass was at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the Church of the Magdalen Catholic Church.

James “Jim” R. Pruitt, 71, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, in Ellsworth. He was born Jan. 13, 1949 in Salina to James Pruitt, Jr. and Jacqueline (Jackson) Pruitt. Jim was a longtime resident of rural southern Lincoln Co.

Dale “Dan” Bettenbrock, 76, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, in Hays. He was born Aug. 3, 1944 in Ellsworth to William Carl Bettenbrock and Elva Louise (Schultz) Bettenbrock. Dan was a longtime resident of Ellsworth where he married Marilyn Jo Bartunek on Jan. 31, 1964.
