Loren V. Paull, 90, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020, in Ellsworth. He was born Sept. 23, 1929 in Ellsworth to Clinton and Bernice (Seymour) Paull. Memorial graveside service is at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Ellsworth Cemetery coinciding with the inurnment of Loren’s sister, Gayle Schultz.

Donald James Urbanek, 81, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at his home in rural Ellsworth. He was born Oct. 27, 1939 in rural Ellsworth to James and Elsie (Belt) Urbanek. Donnie married Sharon D. Hunter April 28, 1962 at Excelsior Lutheran Church, rural Wilson.

Dorothy Mae (Nettnin) Levy passed away on Oct. 26, 2020 after a long, happy life. Born in Denver, Colo., she moved to Stockton, Calif. to teach after graduating from Denver University. She taught history and English at Stagg High School.

Michael “Mike” J. Podlena, 69, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020 in Beloit. He was born June 14, 1951 in Ellsworth to James and Doloris (Voeltz) Podlena. Mike was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County. He retired from the U.S. Army after a career that included service during the Gulf War.

 Donna M. Wooten, 86, passed away Oct. 25, 2020 in Ellsworth, Kan.. She was born Feb. 22, 1934 in Red Rock, Okla., to Max and Mildred (Driesel) Mathis. Donna married Horace G. Wooten, on June 15, 1951, in Shidler, Okla.   Donna is survived by her sons, Gary M. Wooten of Oklahoma City, Okla., Coy E.

Robert L. Williams (1944-2020)   Robert L. Williams, 75, passed away Sunday Oct. 25, 2020 in Little River, Kan. He was born Nov. 8, 1944 in Little River, Kan. to Lester and Rosalie (McCutcheon) Williams. Robert married Mary Rogers on Feb. 28, 1964 in Marquette, Kan.

Capt. George E. Prochaska (1930-2020)   Capt. George E. Prochaska, 90, of Topeka, passed away Oct. 20, 2020 at Plaza West Health Care Center. He was born Sept. 19, 1930 in Ellsworth, Kan., the son of Emil George and Mona (Silver) Prochaska. Capt.

Dorothy Agnes Morris, 87, of Shawnee, Kan., passed away Oct. 23, 2020 at Advent Health of Shawnee Mission, Kan.  She was born Jan. 15, 1933 in Ellsworth, Kan., the daughter of Oliver and Janet Hudson Bircher. Dorothy has resided in Shawnee since 1981, formerly of Kanopolis, Kan.

Anna Verna Bath, age 88, passed away on Oct. 11, 2020 at Columbine West Health Facility in Ft. Collins, Colo. of complications from a stroke. She was born Jan. 19, 1932, in Wilson Kan., to JW Zvolanek and Hermina Houdek Zvolanek. Anna graduated from Ellsworth High School in Ellsworth, Kan.
