James “Mik” Mikulecky, 84, Emporia, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2020 at the Flint Hills Care Center, Emporia, Kan. James Keith Duane Mikulecky was born Feb. 5, 1936 in Ellsworth, Kan., the son of Joe (Jr.) and Edith (Palmgren) Mikulecky. He married the love of his life, Sharon F. Wamhoff, Nov.

Brenda Gayle Langston, 60, passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020 in Colorado. She was born Sept. 11, 1959 in Great Bend, Kan. to Andrew and Melva Jean (Thomas) Crawford. Brenda was a resident of Holyrood, Kan. where she was a member of the St.

John Wayne Hilbert, 35, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020 in Ellsworth. He was born April 17, 1985 in Monett, Mo. to David A. and Beverly A. (Greene) Hilbert. John is survived by his mother, Beverly Hilbert of Golden City, Mo.; brothers, David Jr.

Andrew William Bock, 36, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2020. A graveside memorial service was held Thursday, Aug. 13, at Oak Creek Cemetery in Smith County, Kan. Andy was a skilled heavy equipment operator who recently moved to Wichita and had begun work with Dondlinger Construction.

Loren V. Paull, 90, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020 in Ellsworth. He was born Sept. 23, 1929 in Ellsworth to Clinton and Bernice (Seymour) Paull. Loren served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Ellsworth American Legion Post 174.

William Rex Johnson, 83, of Hutchinson, died Aug. 6, 2020, at his home. He was born Jan. 18, 1937, in Cushing, Okla., to William Abraham and Mabel Estelle (Bowen) Johnson. Rex was a 1955 graduate of Lorraine High School, Lorraine, Kan., and served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962.

Graveside services for Phyllis Ann Urbanek Ogburn, 86, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 12, at the Clinton Cemetery, 500 N 1200 Rd., Lawrence, Kan. 66047. Phyllis passed quietly Tuesday, Aug. 4 surrounded by family at her home at Pioneer Ridge Independent Living in Lawrence, Kan.

Vincent M. Schneider, 84, Olpe, passed away at Flint Hills Care Center, Emporia, Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020. Vincent Mark Schneider was born Dec. 24, 1935 in Olpe, Kan., the son of Alban and Irene (Vohs) Schneider.  Vincent married Loretta Beagley at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia on May 4, 1957.

Doris M. (Standley) Langerman, 86 of Lucas, passed away July 30, 2020. She was born July 19, 1934 in Osborne County, Kan. She was a retired nursing home activities director.
