Ellsworth County commissioners voted unanimously Monday to rescind the county-wide face mask mandate, after consulting with Dr. Ronald Whitmer, county health officer, and Kerianne Ehrlich, supervisor of the county health department. The mandate had been in effect since Nov. 9, 2020.

Andrew Bair, chief executive officer of the Ellsworth County Medical Center, discussed the need for a strategic planning session at the March 17 meeting of the hospital’s board of directors.
