John Lee Wacker, 71, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, in Wilson, Kan. He was born March 9, 1955, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Theodore and Esther (Kratzer) Wacker. John was a 1973 graduate of Ellsworth High School and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during Vietnam. John is survived by his sisters, Marian Maes (Ron), Marlene Costa and Edith Wacker; brother Lewis Wacker; and sons Cody and Cassidy Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Sidney Wacker and sister Lola Gage.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at Ellsworth American Legion Post 174, 645 W. 15th St., Ellsworth, Kan.
