Pratt girls’ basketball team defeats Bearcats

HOISINGTON — After their game was postponed Saturday because of snow, the Ellsworth High School girls’ basketball team was defeated by the Pratt Greenbacks, 43-30, Monday in the third place game at the Winter Jam Tournament in Hoisington.

Dragon basketball teams start year strong

WILSON — The Wilson Dragon boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams traveled to Natoma Jan. 3 to take on the Tigers. Both Dragon teams were victorious.To start their game, the Lady Dragons put on a press to force turnovers and get an early lead.

The Central Plains Jr./Sr. High School Lady Oiler varsity basketball team finished last year with a 25-1 record and the Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 1A, Division II state championship for the eighth-straight year.This year, the Lady Os are off to a 2-2 start so far.
