The Central Plains High School Lady Oilers Basketball Team crushed the Victoria Knights Jan. 14 at home in Claflin. The final score was 79-17.

The Central Plains High School Oilers Boys Basketball Team lost at home in Claflin Jan. 14 to Victoria 48-37.

The Central Plains High School Lady Oilers Basketball Team lost their first game of the season Jan. 11 in Claflin. The Lady O’s were bested at home by the Sterling Black Bears, 51-39.

The Central Plains High School Oilers Boys Basketball Team is still in search of their first win of the 2021-22 season.On Jan. 11, the team lost at home in Claflin to Sterling 63-40.

At Saturday’s Ellsworth Invitational Varsity Wrestling Tournament at Ellsworth High School, Ellsworth placed seventh overall out of 11 teams competing. Bearcat Will Donley took first in the 113-pound division. Hayden Miller took seventh in the 138-pound division.

The Ellsworth Junior-High School Lady Bearcats basketball team defeated Beloit Dec. 18 at the Junior High League Tournament at Republic County to win the North Central Activities Association League title.
