Lady Oilers leave Russell in top spot

RUSSELL — The Central Plains Lady Oilers basketball team defeated the Russell Lady Broncos 66-21 Saturday, in the championship game of the 2021 Amos Morris Classic basketball tournament at Russell.Brynna Hammeke led the scoring for the Lady O’s with 33 points.

Lady Dragons beat Southern Cloud

The Wilson High School Lady Dragons Varsity Basketball team put one in the win column in front of the home crowd Dec. 10 by defeating Southern Cloud 39-18.Sophomore Anna Thielen led the Lady Dragons in scoring with 15.

Bearcat football wins big at Syracuse, 42-0

The Ellsworth Junior-Senior High School Bearcats football team ended their 2021 season Oct. 29 with a 42-0 shutout of the Syracuse Bulldogs in a nonconference game at Syracuse. Here, in a game earlier in the season, the Bearcats sophomore quarterback, Will Cravens, scrambles with the football.
