Lunch is Served

The effort is similar to the Ellsworth County summer lunch program — only it’s mobile. Two days a week, those in charge of the Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Geneseo School District’s free Grab N Go breakfast and lunch deliver meals to Geneseo, Kanopolis and Ellsworth.

Blood needs great

Karin Renard’s task as community coordinator of Ellsworth’s Red Cross Bloodmobiles has always been important. It has become especially so in this age of COVID-19. “They’re really desperate for blood,” Renard said this past weekend.

Commisioners Rescind Burn Ban

The day after Ellsworth County commissioners approved a month-long county-wide burn ban yesterday (Monday), Tuesday afternoon, commissioners reversed themselves and rescinded the ban.
