(FROZEN) WATER EVERYWHERE
Frozen water covered the parking lot of the Ellsworth American Legion building Monday. According to Jason Hicks, local legion commander, the cause of the water was the ice/water machine in the ice shack being broken. He noted the situation is being dealt with.
New year delivers transitions on local boards and councils

A 27 year-old Kansas man remains in custody at the Ellsworth County Jail after being arrested by the Kansas Highway Patrol Dec. 13 after a high speed chase that started on Interstate 70.Authorities are still trying to determine where the individual is from in Kansas.
Old hospital moves closer to demolition
