Track coach shares values of track club

The Central Plains Track Club was started six years ago to give the youth a chance to excel in track. This club teaches the youth to learn the fundamentals of running properly and the proper form for field events.Through this process, we teach them how to win or lose in a positive manner.

Camp draws kids, former ‘Cat players

Ellsworth County’s First Free Youth Camp took place July 31 at Shanelec Field. The day was organized by former Ellsworth High School football standout Takota Anderson with assistance from friends Kaden Davis, Colton Hower, and Jacob Kerby.

RECORD BREAKER

Reagan Hansen, a 7th grader at Ellsworth Junior/Senior High School, broke the girls’ 7th grade record shot putt record May 11 at the league track meet in Ellsworth. The record had been held by Diane Zouzas at 31’ 04” set in 1970. Reagan threw 31’08” to break the 51 year old record. Courtesy Photo
