Lorraine’s water level is up

LORRAINE — The water table in Lorraine is rising. At the Feb. 18 meeting of the Lorraine City Council, Larry Klug, maintenance director, said the city’s water well has two more feet of water now than at this time last year.

Kanopolis hears about new cost share program

KANOPOLIS — Jon Halbgewachs of Ellsworth’s Kirkham Michael & Associates presented information to the Kanopolis City Council Feb. 11 on a new cost share program available from the Kansas Department of Transportation. “It is a competitive grant program for transportation related projects,” he said.
