Ellsworth will have two new members on its city council following Tuesday’s general election. The top vote getter for three open seats on the council was Jessica Kootz with 334. She was followed by Darcy Hansen, 271 votes, and incumbent Wayne Scritchfield, with 286 votes.

WILSON — A discussion concerning the recruitment of a new attendant for the city burn pile topped the agenda Monday during a meeting of the Wilson City Council. Mayor Larry Ptacek said city employee Steve Ford took the job as attendant recently, but doesn’t know if he can continue it.
