Oilers coast through first games of substate basketball

The Central Plains boys defeated Centre-Lost Springs at Peabody Friday in the first game of the 1A substate quarter finals. The Oilers outscored Centre in all four quarters to win 72-48. Senior Tyler Holmes led Central Plains in scoring with 18 points, including 6 from free throws.

Ellsworth dominates Lincoln

The Lady Bearcats posted a perfect week Friday when they defeated the Lady Leopards of Lincoln, 38-22, in a non-conference game at Lincoln. The boys also ended the week in the win column with a victory over Lincoln, 68-25.
