Three ONEOK employees in Bushton, Kan., recently presented a donation to the Holyrood Fire Department in Ellsworth County. Fire department representatives said the donation will be used to purchase new sets of bunker gear.

Wilson Winners 4-H The Wilson Winners 4-H Club had its monthly meeting Aug. 18 at the Wilson Senior Center. Roll call was answered by a favorite summer memory. There were 14 members, six Cloverbuds and three leaders present.

After a 10 minute public hearing Monday on the 2020 Ellsworth city budget, members of the Ellsworth City Council closed the budget hearing and moved on to the regular meeting.

Shamarie Farthing, risk, safety and quality director at Ellsworth County Medical Center, had good news during the Aug. 21 meeting of the hospital’s board of directors. Farthing said the hospital has been chosen to report certain quality measures to Blue Cross for the past several years.

The Ellsworth County commissioners focused on matters of justice during their brief meeting Monday at the county courthouse.
