Herbert “Herb” Dean Perkins, 69, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, in Ellsworth, Kan. He was born July 30, 1955, in Ellsworth to Charlie “Choc” Perkins and Elda (Janzen) Perkins. Herb was a 1973 graduate of Geneseo High School.

Marsha F. Paull, 87, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, in Ellsworth, Kan. She was born June 26, 1937, in Ellsworth to Cleo and Jessie (Johnson) Rathbun. Marsha was a graduate of Ellsworth High School and earned a teaching degree from Emporia State University.

John Robert Kubick, 31, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, in Monument, Colo. He was born May 30, 1993, in Salina, Kan., to Robert and Patricia (Kepka) Kubick. John was a graduate of Ellsworth High School in the class of 2011.

Adam J. Larsen, 38, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, at his home in Ellsworth, Kan. He was born Dec. 18, 1985, in Ellsworth to James “Jim” and Sandra “Sandy” (Chizek) Larsen. Adam was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth, where he graduated from Ellsworth High School in the class of 2004.

Ronald Charles Soeken, 85, retired farmer of Lorraine, Kan., passed away Nov. 4, 2024, in Maize, Kan., surrounded by his family. Ron married Peggy Olds from Wilson, Kan., on Aug. 12, 1964. They moved to the family farm in Ellsworth County, where Ron spent his life as a wheat farmer.

Betty Anne Beach (Wagner), 97, passed away peacefully at home in Salina, Kan., on Nov. 5, 2024. She was born June 19, 1927, in Ellsworth, Kan.Betty grew up on a farm in the Ellsworth/Brookville, Kan., area, where she met her husband, Charles H. Beach.
