Richard “Dick” Janssen, 83, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his home near Ellsworth, Kan. He was born Sept. 26, 1940, in Ellsworth to Herschel “Pete” Janssen and Marian (Craig) Janssen.

Steven D. Dye was born March 28, 1950, to Edward Neil Dye and Mildred Grace Dye in Iola, Kan. He had a full life filled with love for Jesus, family and friends.

Carla Jean Dobosz, 72, of Geneseo, Kan., passed away June 10, 2024, at her home. She was born May 22, 1952, in McPherson, Kan., the daughter of Charles Edgar and Patricia Jane (Myers) Bishop. Carla was a lifelong Geneseo resident. She graduated from Geneseo High School with the class of 1970.

Jean Marie “Jeanie” Boeken, 76, passed away peacefully Monday, June 3, 2024, in Wilson, Kan. She was born July 28, 1947, in Ellsworth, Kan., to Dallas and Margaret Mary (Burrows) Boeken, both lifetime residents of Holyrood, Kan.Jeanie graduated from Holyrood High School, class of 1965.

Jeannie (Meador) Thrasher passed away peacefully in Wilson, Kan., on Feb. 8, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born on April 3, 1947, in Anthony, Kan., to Warren and Marcy (Vancyoc) Meador.

Mason Dean May, 87, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, in Ellsworth, Kan. He was born Aug. 9, 1936, in Smith County, Kan., to Wardie and Alpha (Hillman) May. Mason married Margaret McDowell on Aug. 16, 1959.He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve.

Marvin G. Heffel of Dorrance, Kan., passed away April 28, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kan., at the age of 78. He was born on Jan. 17, 1946, to Arthur and Helen (Lind) Heffel in Ellsworth, Kan. Marvin married Sylvia Baral on Aug. 27, 1974, in Wichita.
