Alice Jean Kaufman, 95, passed away March 31, 2025. She was born on Dec. 23, 1929, in Wilson, Kan., to Henry and Anna (Steinle) Major. She graduated from Dorrance High School in 1947.

Devon Lee Modrow, 26, of Independence, Mo., passed away on March 23, 2025, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo.

Trevin John Behnke, 21, passed away March 25, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kan. He was a sweet, caring little boy, born on Sept. 23, 2003, at the Rice County District Hospital, Lyons, Kan., to Christopher Behnke and Christle Estabrook.

Dale M. Rathbun, 92, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, in Lincoln, Kan. He was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Lincoln County to Newton and Jenny (Stewart) Rathbun. Dale married Joyce E. LaShell in Lincoln on Nov. 4, 1951.

Shellie L. Hennings, 46, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at her home in Ellsworth, Kan.

Larry Wendell Werner, age 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Feb. 4, 2025, in Claremore, Okla., after a long, difficult battle with cancer.

Charline (Padlasek) Stoppel, 94, of Wilson, Kan., passed away on Feb. 11, 2025, at the Ellsworth County Medical Center in Ellsworth, Kan.

Callie M. (Murphy) Reber, 89, of Concordia, Kan., formerly Ellsworth, Kan., and McPherson, Kan., went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025.Callie Margaret Murphy was born in Emporia, Kan., to Calvin Earl Murphy and Blanche (Johnson) Murphy on May 23, 1935.

Robert D. “Bob” Raney, Sr., 94, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, in Ellsworth, Kan. He was born Sept. 2, 1930, in Ellsworth to Kenneth Raney Sr. and Ruth (Grubb) Raney. Bob was an Ellsworth High School graduate in the class of 1948.
